STAFFORD — A West Creek man was jailed after Stafford Township detectives said they found suspected methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia during a pedestrian stop Tuesday evening.

Members of the Stafford Township Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit stopped Sean S. Buckley, 41, of West Creek, at about 6:45 p.m. July 28 near Route 9 and the Cedar Run Apartments, police said.

Detectives had developed probable cause to believe Buckley was carrying methamphetamine, according to the department. A search allegedly uncovered quantities of suspected methamphetamine and heroin, along with drug paraphernalia.

Buckley was charged with possession with intent to distribute less than a half-ounce of methamphetamine, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, two counts of methamphetamine possession and heroin possession.

He also faces disorderly persons charges of possessing drug paraphernalia, wandering to obtain or distribute drugs and obstruction by flight.

After being processed at police headquarters, Buckley was taken to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.

The charges are accusations. Buckley is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
