PINE BEACH — Firefighters quickly contained a boat fire Sunday afternoon that damaged a vessel and its trailer in a residential driveway, authorities said.

Station 38 crews were dispatched at 4:48 p.m. to the area of Station Avenue and Springfield Avenue for a reported boat fire. Upon arrival, Chief 3800 found a small outboard vessel heavily engulfed in flames.

Engine 3801 arrived shortly after and brought the fire under control within minutes, preventing it from spreading further. Officials said the damage was limited to the boat and trailer, with only minor heat damage reported to the siding of a nearby home.
