TOMS RIVER — A Manchester Township man already jailed on sexual assault and misconduct charges in Atlantic County is now facing additional counts involving child victims in Ocean County, authorities said.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Darnell Williams, 34, was charged October 6 with two counts of criminal sexual contact and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, along with Manchester and Stafford Township police.

Investigators determined that between 2020 and 2023, Williams allegedly inappropriately touched a minor girl in both Manchester and Stafford, Billhimer said.

Williams, who remains held at the Atlantic County Jail, will be served with the new charges there. He is already detained on multiple counts of sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and official misconduct related to incidents in Atlantic County.

In September, Williams was also charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with a 2013 case in Manchester Township. A judge ordered him detained on those charges October 7, and another detention hearing will be scheduled for the latest allegations.

“We suspected there may be additional victims, and unfortunately we are finding this to be true,” Billhimer said. “Anyone with information concerning this defendant’s conduct should contact Detective Delaney Huber of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929-2027, extension 3218.”

Billhimer credited the Special Victims Unit, High Tech Crime Squad, and law enforcement agencies in Manchester, Stafford, and Atlantic counties for their joint efforts in the ongoing investigation.
