WALL TOWNSHIP — A school bus flipped onto its side after a crash with a BMW on the Garden State Parkway on Wednesday morning, state police said.
The collision occurred about 10:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near milepost 95.8, according to Trooper Christopher Postorino. Investigators said both vehicles were heading north when they collided, sending the bus across the left shoulder, where it struck a guardrail and overturned.
Only the bus driver was inside at the time. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, Postorino said. No passengers were on board, and no other injuries were reported.
State police said the circumstances leading to the crash remain under review.
