TOMS RIVER – A protest was held on Presidents Day to “Fight Trump’s Fake Crisis and Racist Deportation Forces” at Huddy Park in Toms River.

The protest was organized by Action Together Ocean County and Indivisible NJ3rd in response to President Donald Trump declaring a national emergency “in an attempt to further his racist agenda and ramp up his deportation force.”

Calling it an illegal power grab, the activists demanded that Congress immediately overrule the emergency declaration.

Protestors were also collecting food donations for FulFill’s food bank “to help restock the foodbank after the 35 day government shutdown.”
