Two Alarm Fire Tears Through Landfill

TINTON FALLS – A two-alarm fire that tore through the county’s reclamation center was brought under control around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.

The cause of the fire that consumed multiple construction vehicles and materials at the Monmouth County Reclamation Center at 6000 Asbury Ave. is still under investigation.

The Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 was assisted by the Oakhurst Independent Hose Company No. 1 Wanamassa Fire Company, Unexcelled Fire Co. Neptune Fire Department NJ, Hamilton Fire Company Neptune Township, Glendola Fire Company, Colts Neck Fire Department, and Little Silver Fire Company.
