Police Looking For Purse Thief

MANCHESTER – Police are asking the public for information to identify a purse thief.

At 10:26 a.m. Feb. 25, someone pulled up alongside an 86-year-old Manchester woman and grabbed her purse in the parking lot of Whiting Commons, 400 Lacey Road. The woman fell during a brief struggle, sustaining minor lacerations, police said.

The alleged thief—described as a thin, white female with dirty blonde hair, ages 35-45—was driving a light-colored 4-door Ford Sport Trac with New York plates.
