One police officer is killed in the United States every 61 hours. National Police Week runs from May 13 through May 18. They keep our towns safe, and teach kids how to stay on the right side of the law, with the D.A.R.E. program.

Chris Cosgriff, founder of the Officer Down Memorial Page, said it best: “When a police officer is killed, it’s not an agency that loses an officer, it’s an entire nation.”
