Dear Joel: Celebrating Thanksgiving

Dear Joel,

This year, because of COVID-19, we’ll be scaling back our Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving celebration to just immediate family. Rather than trying to recreate our yearly traditions on a smaller scale, I thought it would be fun to change it up and do something completely different. Do you have any ideas how to make Thanksgiving 2020 a memorable one?

Thanksgiving reminds us to be thankful for our blessings, and to help those who are less fortunate. So, it’s the perfect time to support local business and restaurants by ordering their Thanksgiving or other menu items to go. Not only will you get a break from the stress and anxiety of cooking, your guests will get a delicious, professionally prepared meal and the restaurant will get some much need business during what is sure to be a difficult holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving!

  Thank you for writing.
